Finally (completely subjective opinion), after PRS introduced the 594 the regular McCarty does not appeal to me so much. The ideal PRS is the Singlecut 594, IMO. I love Les Pauls and I see the 594 as a slightly modern boutique LP.

And I don't think there is a big quality difference between a Suhr classic antique (a reliced Strat) and a Fender CS reliced strat. Whereas a Grosh will be an awesome guitar in 99.999% of the cases, whereas an R8 can quite often by a dog....

网页2010年11月6日 · They need to compare a Grosh RC to a Suhr (Antique) Classic - not a modern, pro series, etc. All Grosh's are universal/swimming pool routed (I know there are a couple of exceptions) compared to Suhr's Classic standard S/S/S routing (unless there is a HB spec'd of course). Grosh's don't have a vintage style truss rod like Suhr Classics.

It would be an all around Great fusion style Guitar. * The Grosh Retro has a very vintage sound and vibe to it. Very easy to get Hendrix/SRV style sounds.

The seller is a gear page user and he has 260+ positive reviews on Reverb.com with no negatives. So this was a sure thing, no risk situation. The only risk was that I might not bond with the guitar.

If I recall, they're used by the Black Keys, as their tech used to work for the founder of SIT strings before that company existed. Regardless, Id buy them if theyre what the store had!

网页516. May 29, 2009. #3. I own a Grosh and have played a number of LPs. Not sure if Ive played an R8 though, but have played an R9. The Grosh has blown them all away as far as tone and playability. It is a little different than a Gibson, but is very much in the ballpark. You might get a better response in the small builders section.
