I even measured a buddies driveshaft to confirm and it was 52" but unfortunately it not yet installed. So I had one made just with 1350 u-joints instead.

Melling should be fine or any other rebuilder type of brand. For a racing engine with a roller cam and a Milodon oil pump then you need the extra long shaft with the bronze gear.
