I wouldn't use salt if the pot is sitting on soil or even on something like a patio, where the salt can run off into nearby soil if it's dissolved by rain or by water that drains out the bottom of the plant container. First, check to make sure the slugs and snails aren't taking refuge underneath the pot during the day.

网页2008年5月13日 · Adding the sand will help to increase the pore size in your soil and also create more useable soil colloids. For now, buy a bag of Rye seed and possibly some vetch or clover and spread them over your soil. Once everything is up (you'll have to water it) mow it weekly and don't collect the clippings. Allow them to sit and decmpose on site.

网页2007年6月10日 · Hi ynot, Okay, so my thoughts on the Akadama topic would be that the fertilizer regime would add nutrients to the soil for the the tree that are soluble and would be held in the soil better than that of a sand based soil or even a pigeon or chicken grit. So using clay or Akadama along with organics would make a more stable soil for trees.

Any way if you want to try it, I would say a piece of seed potato with two eyes on it would be just right for a 5 gal container. Fill the bucket 2/3 full and plant the set. As the vine grows add some more soil to cover the developing tubers ...

网页2014年9月8日 · Soil is a mix of peat moss and perlite 1:1, ph is about 5.8 - 6.0, recently I've bought a sulfur granulate to lower ph cuz I think it is a little to high. I water my plant with rain water or distilled water, not so often becouse soil is moist, I think becouse of ultrasonic humidifier, which I use to raise humidity near MF (now its 60-75%).

But then if the apple seeds sprout, they will need to be pulled/ moved right away, because they will take too much away from your plant. Susan W.
