Fabulous family home, grand but cosy with lots of history. Some amazing features and great art. Lovely grounds and gardens and yummy woodfired sandwiches from the cafe, would highly recommend a visit! Louise G的完整评论
What is the best route to take from Whitby? Google maps shows B roads but the last thing I want to do is find myself on single track roads which is where gmaps/sat nav seems to take me. Any recommendations?

If you want a relatively straight forward route via A roads then I would suggest taking the A171 to Scarborough. Go through Scarborough following signs for the A165 and taking the A165 to Bridlington, then take the A614 to Burton Agnes and follow the brown signs to the Hall.

Last time I went (Christmas) the bus wasn't in sight. I used to like that at Christmas - they used to have a Narnia scene inside or some other Christmassy story being read aloud but this year it wasn't there. Things are set out a bit differently now that they have got the new car park arrangement and there's a funnel system to guide you to the paying area so maybe there's no room for the bus anymore.

I don't recall ever seeing any mobility aids being provided by the Property. It is possible to access large parts of the gardens with your own mobility aids. The walled garden has paved pathways and ramps. The hard gravel paths might be difficult to traverse in some wheelchairs and scooters. But even the woodland walk would be accessible but I would stick to the good weather. The house is a different matter with stairs and carpets and rugs.

Hi Yes dogs are allowed on leads and it's seven pounds per person The gift shop is expensive as is the cafe however the food there is yum yum dogs not allowed in cafe but there is an enclosed building across the yard where you can eat The hall and grounds are worth a visit all year round and not just when something seasonal is happening. We prefer off weekends anyway hope you find my answer helpful and enjoy your visit
