October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and footwear brands like Easy Spirit, Andre Assous and others have announced new products and launched initiatives to support various organizations’ research efforts to prevent and cure breast cancer.

Easy Spirit has partnered fundraiser Shoes for a Cure as well as with Katie Couric to raise awareness for breast cancer.

The Power of Pink luncheon was a big success again in 2024. The event at Hotel Roanoke Monday raised money for the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation, which helps pay for screening for the uninsured and underinsured right here in our region.

Inspyr, founded by Nadia Williams, is raising awareness for breast cancer survivors with their “More Than Just a Pink Ribbon” event on October 26. The free community event will feature healing activities and celebrate survivors and their support networks.
