Another massive winter storm is forecast to pummel the southern and eastern U.S., with impacts from Texas to the Carolinas.

A winter storm pushed through Hilliard, Ohio, on January 6, dropping several inches of snow along with wind gusts of up to 32 mph, the National Weather Service (NWS) said. Video posted on X by @OhioanWx shows “little snow mountains” being formed as a bulldozer clears the snow at 1:15 am.

Areas in the north Georgia mountains will see between 3-6 inches of snow with locally higher amounts possible farther north into the mountains. Snowfall totals of 1-2 inches will be common around I-20 with 0.1-0.25 inch of ice possible. The northern suburbs in metro Atlanta will see between 2-3 inches of snow.
