2024广州马拉松组委会9月23日公布了本届比赛选手报名情况，在取消了半程马拉松项目的情况下，本届报名人数依然突破十万，达到112987人，共有34个国家和地区的选手参与报名。其中，男、女选手占比分别为79.27%和20.73%。44岁以下选手超半数，是报名主力军。组委会还公布了报名选手星座占比和生肖占比，水瓶座选手和属兔的选手占比最多。
