Nearly 150,000 John Deere vehicles that were sold nationwide are subject to a recall due to faulty brakes that can create a potential crash hazard, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is cautioning.

John Deere has issued a recall of about 164,700 compact utility tractors sold nationwide from November 2017 through July 2024.

The recalled Compact Utility Tractor models are 1023E, 1025R and 2025R. John Deere says these models can be identified by the model numbers printed on the machines’ hoods. Consu

John Deere said it has received four reports of brake linkages failing and causing a crash. One person was hospitalized and two were injured as a result. Anyone who owns one of the affected tractors is urged to stop using it and contact an authorized John Deere dealer to schedule a free repair appointment.
