The first round of CFP Rankings were released on Tuesday, giving the nation its first look at how the College Football Playoff Selection Committee evaluates the field under the new 12-team format.

The new 12-team playoff will be a bracket-style tournament. The top four seeds will get byes and head directly to the quarterfinals. No. 5 will play No. 12, No. 6 will play No. 11 and so on, with the better seed hosting the game on their home field.
