The ignition switch sits up on the top of the column and the plug end is on the car, the longer harness with the thin flat plug is for the turn signals and horn. This is protected by the fuse adjacent to it and switched with ignition power as well. Just ensure the connection, fuse and fuse clips are nice, tight and clean.

On the factory diagram, it shows nothing connected to one of the power out terminals, and it is marked "aux". The diagram shows two wires fastened to the one power out terminal.

Even the black plastic plug that snaps into the switch was melted around the terminals. I can only presume it must have had a wiring fire or meltdown before I purchased the car.
