Inspection is key, on day zero the Air Assault Sergeants will lay out a very detailed and specific packing list that you must adhere to. If anything is missing, out of place, or deemed unserviceable the student will lose points and possibly be dropped.

Aug 10, 2017 · Posted 7 y ago. All you need to know is day 0: layout, obstacle course, 2 mile run. Day 1-9 layouts, smoke sessions and learning. Day 10:12-mile ruck march. The other things can change slightly. You'll do a 6- mile ruck march on day 1 or 2. Listen, learn, and do what sgt-air-assault says, and you'll be fine. (5) Comment.

May 19, 2018 · Those who are not fit, mentally tough or have a strong heart will not pass AIrborne School. Mentally-Air Assault. You have to be fit for the O-Course, and final Road March but it’s the academic rigor and mental fatigue that make Air Assault School a tough proposition. I would say the hardest has to be Air Assault School. Only a smidgen though ;)

When I went through in 2007, about 20+ students were dropped because they didn't have everything required for day zero layout. It was only about 20 items and students would show up with no MREs, gloves, running shoes, etc.

Apr 1, 2019 · If looking for a rope to practice with, don't worry about composition, worry about thickness. Anything between 1/2" and 1" will be fine for practice. Plus you will have lots of time to practice while in AAS (during the day, and at night when you go home). If you mean for rapelling, you don't have to tie that, just hook in and slide down.

I bet it isn't as hard today as in 1982. Completely different army today. The best advice I can give you is don't concern yourself with how hard it is.
