网页2021年5月3日 · This might be a weird one (and might be nostalgia) but I've always liked the D-Pad on the original model DS. It was nice and flat, comfortable, easy to use. Trying the raised ones on the DS revisions/3DS never quite felt right. It's also the D-Pad that makes Super Mario 64 DS actually playable, so it's got that going for it.

网页2023年3月14日 · The 360 D-pad is mushy and vague in stock form but if you put a plastic shim between the top plastic and the rubber membrane it becomes clicky and responsive. I don't mind a modified 360 controller but stock ones are painful to use. I like the One D-Pad and recently bought a Design Lab Series controller to try. It looks weird but it feels good.

Also, games in which you have to input quarter-circle motions - like Castlevania Symphony of the Night - are better played with an analog too. For all the other cases, D-pad all the way. I just recently picked up the Daemon x Machina Hori Pad and that has a decent d-pad, but it's just too bulky compared to the normal joy-cons.
