Oct 9, 2007 · I started with Jarrow's Saccharomyces boulardii when I first suspected I had Clostridium difficile, after a 5 day course of Keflex (broad spectrum antibiotic), a few weeks ago. Then, I switched to Florastor, but am wondering how different the 2 brands are, because Florasotr is so expensive.

May 11, 2023 · From what I've seen, different boulardii brands/strains seem to work differently for a lot of folks. Florastor works the best for some, Jarrow works better for others, etc. Pure Therapro RX Saccharomyces 10B. I use the Klair Labs one! It has helped significantly but also expensive.

Make sure that she is also taking a good acidophilus supplement along with the S.Boulardii. Theralac, VSL#3, and Jarrow Formulas "Ultra Jarro Dophilus" are some good options.

Did you treat your sibo before starting florastor? My understanding is that S.Boulardii is a strain of Saccharomyces Cerevisiae. Five billion CFUs is the dose most commonly used. Florastor is just a brand name so any high quality version is just as good. How long did It take you to notice the improvement after starting florastore?

Feb 28, 2018 · But florastor helps a lot of people especially while they take antibiotics. It’s a beneficial strain of yeast that colonizes (I believe) and can make a big difference. It helped me once, failed hard the second time, but shout out to u/Maximiliankohler for the brand recommendation. Might give it another shot.
