2020年1月18日 · Biktrix makes a step-thru mid-drive with throttle model called the Stunner-X and here that starts at $2K. It strikes me as weird that the 3" wide tire version has a smaller frame than the 4" wide tire version. Those things are pretty unrelated. The 2020 model has hydraulic brakes, which is always a nice addition.

They've had the M620 Ultra drive for a while but it's really best for cargo bikes in my opinion. If that matters, I can hardly walk but I can pedal a bike. If someone is so ailing they cannot pedal, let them ride on throttle but not expect any "natural ride feeling" experience.

2023年6月29日 · A mid-drive e-bike requires pedalling to operate (as it measures the torque and cadence at the crank). Now, the throttle is only allowed on Class 2. A throttle operated Class 3 e-bike becomes a moped, and it is not a street legal e-bike.
