Feb 6, 2018 · I've always wanted to play the DS Castlevanias and Contra 4 on my TV screen. I can't say there are any 3DS games I'd want to play on the screen, but there aren't really that many 3DS games I like, period. I think the 3D games wouldn't look too great on a big screen, so we'd be better off wishing for console ports rather than a consolized 3DS.

Mar 4, 2024 · I don't have a DS/DSi/XL/LL - what would you recommend? I always recommend the DSi XL (USA) or LL (same unit but Japanese). These are a bit larger and have a slower refresh on the LCD which more closely mimics the phosphor fade of a real TV. The XL/LL units are built like tanks - they can take a beating and deliver a smooth playing experience.

Jan 5, 2024 · A5200DS is an Atari 5200 emulator for the Nintendo DS/DSi/XL/LL Features : Support for the original 69 commercial releases plus a couple hundred homebrews, hacks and prototypes. All games run at full speed on a DSi or above. Most games will run at full speed on the older DS-Lite/Phat (some of the more complex conversions will lag).
Is it just me, or is the original DS not very bright?
Jul 6, 2013 · The DSi is both backlit and high refresh rate, making it the best model to play DS games on. But it unfortunately loses GBA support, similar to how the Game Boy micro is the best way to play GBA games (due to being the only backlit system with the high response screen+a nonproprietary headphone port) but comes at the cost of GB/GBC support.

With this setup you will be running in DS compatibility mode and emulator will default to a moderate level of frameskip. For the DSi or DSi XL/LL we can run just about everything full speed without frameskip.
