2024年4月28日 · I am considering buying a recumbent trike. I was wondering if anybody has experience riding around in The villages on them, particularly the multi modal paths. Better and safer places to ride would be Santos Trails, West.Orange trail, Withlacoochee trails, paved, no carts or cars. # 7.

2024年8月16日 · We ride recumbent trikes quite a bit, in the neighborhood streets I like to ride on the wrong side so I can see oncoming traffic. I'm confident that's not how the law reads but these short trikes are easy to lose sight of from a car. We have flags but it's still an uneasy feeling to have a car sneak up on you.

2014年3月15日 · A lot of craziness out there right now. If it is not highway legal, it seems it would be OK to ride an under 50cc scooter on the multi-modal. Scooters this size are not highway legal, as they cannot maintain highway speeds. The paths are not limited to carts, bikes, etc. according to this from 2010.

It is not legal…nor is it smart…to drive vehicles such as smart cars, motorcycles, or mopeds on any of the multi-modal paths in The Villages.

It is a deed restricted community that allows permanent residence to anyone over 18 and up to 20% of the homes can be owned by under 55 YO people.
