I first tried cutting the bubbles and flattening it out, but it looks worse, and I would rather just replace it. I'm not trying to match the color by the way, just preserve the function of it - whatever that is.

2014年7月24日 · The majority of my RV's wall framing is aluminum. There is some small flat metal flat slats about 4" wide that ran vertically. Not sure exactly what they were for except maybe a larger flat surface for the paneling to bond to since the cage framing is 1.5" tubes.

Pre-finished wood paneling is often 1/8" (3/16 and 1/4 thicknesses also available). Craft and woodworking project stores may be more likely sources than lumber yards and home centers.

The problem with regular contact cements is they have a tendency to release after a while if the material is exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time.

2010年4月1日 · Peeling finish usually means moisture, which can be a sign of a leak, or excess humidity as Geo described. You've got to fix that problem before worrying about the cosmetics. Check the roof seams and windows above or near the peeling areas. If you haven't inspected the roof lately and recaulked seams, do so right away.

At one time, RV paneling was fastened up with little plastic discs and the screws went into the middle of them. 2021年3月30日 · It has been coated to give it a moderately hard surface and some water resistance. Not too dissimilar to what is common in low end and mid-grade RV interiors. RV wallboard is typically 1/8" or 3/16" thick. Rarely will it be 1/4" thick. I suggest looking for wallboard panels intended for use in bathrooms or kitchens.
