2022年1月12日 · If you want to change your vtec changeover, cheapest option would be APEX’i V-AFC… if they still sell them. You can mildly tune your car and change your vtec changeover. It’s not the best/most powerful way to do it… but it’s definitely cheaper. I had it on my AP1… lowered my VTEC to just over 5k. Keeps you out of vtec cruising at 80.

2023年9月25日 · Ap1 does have a faster steering rack, which is why CR share the same steering ratio rack, and ap1 has a different gear ratio, and a lighter flywheel. But I never drove a ap2 and thought I need any shorter gear ratio, and I would never trade a ap2 transmission for a ap1, same can be said for the ap1 glass diff.

So, do I want an AP1 or an AP2? I've heard that the AP1 has some weird rear-end dynamic toe issues at the limit. How extreme are these?

2021年3月31日 · Apparently it's the JDM AP1 key. Found it on eBay, there's a few stores that specialise in "new old stock" JDM parts. The part number is 35113-S2A-000 it doesn't have an immobilizer transponder, so it needs modding for USDM cars.

2022年6月12日 · Ap1 also has a design flaw with the banjo bolt and valve retainers, which can be upgraded to the AP2 version. The AP2 also has closer ratio gearing, which in addition to having more mid-range power, gives it superior acceleration over the Ap1. Ap1's have a slighter stiffer front and and much stiffer rear sway bar (more oversteer balance).
