2024年8月1日 · Snakes love bird eggs when they can find them. I think they can sniff them out like a bird dog when it winds a grouse. The old school method for catching snakes in the yard is a crawdad trap with a chicken egg in it. Snake goes inside, swallows the egg and can’t get out again until the egg is digested.

2023年6月3日 · Coral Snakes are tropical in nature like florida and west into Texas/Arizona and don’t live in northern latitudes. If ya see something that looks like a Coral in the north, it’s most likely a Corn Snake, maybe some kind of King Snake that tolerates cooler temps.

Taken few more steps.. BuZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... Oh crap.. Looked back.. Sure enough, Rattle snake was all curled up behind a small grass patch. 6 inch dia coil!!. Lucky Me!!..

The Owyhee reservoir elevation though is about 2600 feet and the tops of most of the mountains bordering the lake average around 4000 feet and go up closer to around 6000 feet ...
