I am new to Solidworks Composer and I was trying to figure out if there is a way to have an assembly that has two parts that are the same file but are using different configurations. I have two bolts that are both save in one file but have different configurations, when I go to make BOM (bill of materials) they shop up as one part.

I hate programs that create things in my documents folder, and with my new laptop I am being very careful about default paths. I have set all the file locations in the Solidworks 2015 options to a new location, and it now works with no errors/new folders in my documents. However, no matter what I try the Solidworks composer folder always appears.

I have the solidworks composer just a fiew days now and training will be end of March (way to long). So I am glad that this forum exists. I received an .smg file from our engineer to work with in the solidworks composer. Unfortunately the file is delivered with the solidworks logo and our engineer does not know how to get rid of it.
