I generally use a Remington hull, Clays powder, Winchester 209, and Downrange XL-1 wad (the green one). This is a very soft shooting load that is deadly to clay targets.

If you aren't willing to change chokes, use different types of shells. If you are willing to just hit most of them, just shoot whatever, and have fun.

网页2017年12月4日 · I would use #9s for skeet. I assume your reference to the first shot at doubles refers to trap doubles, not skeet doubles. If I recall correctly, #9 was always recommended for skeet. I have used both #9 and #8. Seemed like the target all broke, but the target hit with #9s had less large pieces left after being hit.

In all my years of competitive skeet, I always used #9 shot, but #8 shot will work fine (I'm assuming he's shooting a 12 or 20 gauge gun).
