2016年7月11日 · With HoLEP, retrograde ejaculation affects 90% of men, according to Dr Amy Krambeck. Strictures affects 1 out of 200. Premanent incontinence affects only 1%. My ultrasound showed my prostate to be 102 grams. I'm thinking HoLEP is the best choice for me. I will know more after the surgery. I'm over 70.

Frequency and urgency for most of my life. Kept getting worse. Last year everything stopped and had to get foley cath 3 different times. Last one had to stay in the whole month before Holep surgery. BPH biopsy showed no cancer just a huge prostate. Holep surgery on Jan.02,2019. Prostate size was 75 grams, DR. removed 45 grams. Surgery went well.

2017年5月21日 · Anyway after holep they said wait 2 months, did so and it was 0.66 August 2016, tested again October 2016 routine medical 0.66 again. Pre holep prostate volume was 22cc, estimate is 6 cc abated and 6 cc of chips caught in filter basket for cancer testing, leaving 10cc behind. So now it is 10 cc.

Hi David, I have looked into different choices for BPH for the last 4 years and concluded that hoLep is the best procedure out there, all things considered. hoLep is everything is better than Turp, with 2 exceptions : It's more expensive and many insurances may not cover it. 2024年1月12日 · It doesn't leave much tissue behind. The prostate is like your nose and ears, it never stops growing. Tissue left behind will grow. TURP and Aquablation leave more tissue behind than holep. This increases the odds of a 2nd procedure later down the line. At 63, if I live long enough, the odds of a 2nd procedure are high, so I'm going for the holep.

So you can have TURP which is based on surgical cutting out of the intruding prostate lobes, laser prostatectomy using a laser (NICE now recommends HoLEP), and UroLift prostatectomy.

2023年10月9日 · Ultrasound and cytocsopy prior to surgery revealed that the PAE had shrunk my prostate from 180g to 80g, but the median lobe was quite large, protruding into my bladder, and impeding flow. There was bladder wall thickening. The HoLEP surgery went well, about one and a half hours on the table, under full anesthesia. Most of my prostate was removed.

2020年1月2日 · My prostrate had grown to 158 gm when I finally decided to visit a Urologist this past summer. Did all the standard tests. The Urologist then gave me two options - Simple Prostectomy or HoLEP. He referred me to a Urologist who did HoLEP, when I expressed an interest in doing that. I had one visit with that Urologist and was scheduled for HoLEP.
