The Oroqen or Orochen people (Oroqen: ɔrɔtʃeen; simplified Chinese: 鄂伦春族; traditional Chinese: 鄂倫春族; pinyin: Èlúnchūnzú; Mongolian: Orčun) are an ethnic group in northern China. They form one of the 56 ethnic groups officially recognized by the People's Republic of China.

The Oroqen people were engaged by the Qing Dynasty in the latter’s campaigns against indigenous rulers (1639-43 CE), and later in the Sino-Russian Border Conflicts (1652-1689). One of the most commonly accepted hypotheses is that the term is derived from Manchu language: орунчунь (orunchun) meaning "deer people", "deer herders" (cf. pinyin "Èlúnchūn").
