The figures for 2-inch pans are based on a 2-layer or 4-inch depth cake. The figures for 3-inch pans are based on a 1-layer cake which has been torted and filled to reach a 3-inch depth. The serving amounts listed are based on party-sized portions of approximately 1-1/2 x 2 inches or wedding-sized portions which are cut smaller, about 1 x 2 inches.

2011年11月18日 · The pans are quite deep. I used the bake even strips with the pans and so far I haven't had to level the cakes at all. They bake up perfectly even. I was concerned about the shallow side of the pan cooking too fast but I haven't had a problem yet. I don't recall any directions with the pans.

2012年8月1日 · I bought 3" pans and since then have often wished for 2" pans. So for the most part I try to fill so I get a 2" layer. When I have filled for a 3" layer, I always use 2 flower nails in all of my pans. I only have 2 right now, so I put one in my 6" and 8" and I put 2 in my 10".

When I line my pans with waxed paper (I usually only do it my for super moist cakes like pineappl coconut cake or strawberry cake), I grease the pan before I line it and then after I grease it again and flour it. When I take it out I let it cool for a while, probably 10-15 min. I peel it off with no problem.

Now I know adding more cakes to bake does SOMETHING to the cooking time just dont know and would rather not mess it up. My plans is to put my two 8" pans which make 2" high cakes on the bottom rack and two 6" pans to the top rack.

2008年5月3日 · Pans are much too important and expensive to try unfamiliar brands. Also 14 gauge steel is heavier than 16 gauge which makes me think that Magic Line should have the edge. However the slight rounding of the Fat Daddios corners might make them easier to clean.
