Medlar (Mespilus germanica), one of the prettiest small trees in the garden at the moment. The showy white flowers kind of look like ruffly and much larger versions of strawberry flowers which are also in bloom in the front garden patch, growing around the base of the tree. These attractive, self-fertile plants make a lovely addition to any garden in need of a unique edible specimen tree.
